Indiana Jones is back

Yesterday I went to the cinema to watch the forth Indiana Jones movie, after 20 years from the previous one. I was looking forward to it since I grew up with Indiana Jones movies and when I was a child I just wanted to be an archeologist, like Dr. Jones.

The final result is though disappointing. The film starts with Indy surviving a nuclear explosion inside a frige (what should have been the final peak scene, not just the first one) and it continues with adventures really hard to believe and a mistery that leads us nowhere. That is the main problem of the film in my opinion: you do not believe what is going on, the plot loses contact with reality too soon. One of the main points in the other movies is the reality they show, you end up by believing in the Holy Grial and in the Lost Ark because they are presented in the framework of the normal world. Unfortunately, it does not happen with the crystal skulls.

Besides, the film starts dealing with extra-terrestrial life and the final scene is definitively unbelievable. And also it must be noted the historical errors they make when presenting the historical facts behind (the only positive point is our explorer, Salvador de Orellana and the lost city of Eldorado). What a disgrace for the other three movies, to tell you the truth.

In any case, I still want to be archeologist...
