On Friday I went to the cinema to watch "Slumdog Millionaire", the film who got 8 Oscar awards last spring. I did not expect much for this film, although I had not heard much about it, it was just that the film did not give me good vibrations.
Once again my intuition was completely wrong and the film was really, really good; one of the best I have watched in the last times. I would define it as a fable in the background of the poorest areas in Bombay-Mumbai. We follow the hard life of a boy born in this hard environment and how he, together with his brother and a friend, manages to survive, in a world without hope and where "help" is an unknown word.
What we are shown about the life in Bombay-Mumbai is extremely hard to swallow, but the director (Danny Boyle) does not focus too much on that, he wants to add some positive energy into us. In any case, afterwards, when one thinks about it at home, some aspects of the film are real and really a shame for the mankind.
To sum up, one of the best films in the last years, which deserves to be watched by everyone, because it not only give us hope and a positive message, but also it shows how hard life can be for some human beings like us. Watch it, watch it, watch it,...
