Today is March 11th 2009. Five years ago, we suffered the horrible and coward terrorists attacks in Madrid and I cannot help feeling a bit sad everych March 11th. But, apart from that, today the whole western world seems to have gone crazy: a pensioner has shot two doctors (and killed one of them) in Murcia (Spain), another person has killed 10 people of his family in Alabama and a teenager has killed 15 people in Germany, for no aparent reason. The latter has touched me (as it has happened in Stuttgart, 150 kilometres from Frankfurt) and all Germany, the news today were the sadest one I can remember.
I cannot find any reason for this unnecessary suffering, for this unexpected violence,... Why has the life of these men and women, who were just living another day in their lifes, ended so abruptly? In days like this one, where everything around us seems to darken, sometimes is convenient to look for some comfort in music, to try to cheer our hearts up.
First, "Everybody hurts", from REM.
To end this post, another song my REM: "Nightswimming":
